What are Admin Roles?

We offer multiple platform roles with the main difference being between user roles with only front-end access, Participants and Observers, and roles with Admin access, Platform Owner and Moderator. To clarify how these roles operate and their permissions, below we define these roles:

User Roles:

  • Participant

Front-end only user with access to their profile and its settings. They can participate in all modules assigned to them and are restricted from Admin access.

User roles count toward total participants. We will reach out if your platform reaches its participant limit.

Admin Roles:

  • Moderator

Full admin access. Can invite and edit participant profile information and roles.

  • Observer

Front-end user invisible to participants with access to view all front-end modules including Journal content regardless of status or user group. Useful for insight communities. Observers cannot be given Admin access permissions.

  • Platform Owner

The creator of the platform (unless changed) with access to all non-CMNTY admin pages. There can only be one Platform Owner and it must be set by CMNTY team.

  • CMNTY

Full access to admin for support and developer assistance.

There is no limit to Admin accounts.
